Child learning center

First Baptist Church takes the challenge of Matthew 18:5 seriously. In addition to many excellent programs for children, FBC has supported and sponsored a weekday childcare program for over 60 years. In August 1982, the church opened the doors to the Child Learning Center and went from sponsoring a half-day to a full-day preschool program. The CLC is licensed by the State of Arkansas.

Programs Offered

The excellent staff is committed to helping each child reach his or her potential in all areas of growth—physical, mental, social and spiritual. The programs and services of the Child Learning Center (CLC) are available to children from all religious and ethnic backgrounds. These services start with 2 year olds, a morning three-year and four-year kindergarten program during the school year and a year-round daycare program with an age-appropriate developmental curriculum for ages 2, 3, and 4. In following Arkansas public school guidelines for placement, a child must be 2, 3, or 4 by August 1 in order to be accepted into that respective age group program.

Safety

The safety and well being of all in attendance at the CLC is of the upmost priority. The CLC offers a variety of safety and security features, including an internal surveillance system, an external security system, visibility in all classrooms and various other products and procedures to enhance security. All staff are carefully screened in accordance with mandated state licensing guidelines.

Hours of Operation

The CLC is in operation 12 months a year, 5 days a week, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except for scheduled holiday closures.
