Welcome to the Preschool Ministry of First Baptist Church. Our teachers and classrooms are overflowing with excitement as we seek to love and nurture your preschooler. When your children come to FBC, they are not just coming to a nursery, but instead are entering a designated and designed space of fun, safety, and biblical learning. Every time your preschooler visits, they will experience Bible truths and stories in a relevant and meaningful way. We believe whole-heartedly that even babies can learn and sense God’s love and security as dedicated teachers care for them at church.
Nursery Check-in
When your family visits our nursery there will be a sign-in sheet to help us gather information on your child, let us know how to reach you while you are in church, and it tells us who will be picking up your child after the services. After checking in, you will then be escorted to your child’s room where they will be greeted by loving nursery and LifeGroup leaders. All of our nursery workers and volunteers are background checked and trained to provide the best care for your children while they are under our care.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
We ask that all parents volunteer on a rotation to help during our worship service, called “extended session” in the nursery. You will be mailed a lesson with suggested activities and your scheduled date to volunteer. If you cannot volunteer on that day, please call another volunteer on the extended session rotation list.
CHILDCARE DURING LIFEGROUPS AND MORNING WORSHIP
During the LifeGroups hour and morning worship, your child will be cared for and will have age appropriate Bible stories and activities. Preschoolers will have a Bible story, a snack, activities and play time centered on their lesson. Our infants and toddlers will be prayed for, will hear Bible stories, songs, and Bible truths during their time in the nursery. Our focus is to lay a “sure foundation” leading children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Wednesday Nights (September-April)
Preschoolers ages 2-4 years join our Wednesday Night Program First Friends. First Friends is a time that children rotate between classes of misisons, Bible stories and music, learning more from God’s word and the importance of the Gospel. The nursery is also availble for infants of parents attending FBC’s Wednesday night activities. The nursery opens at 5:25.
